Today was a travel day back to Denver and back to the daily grind here. We woke up around 9am to get showered, packed, and out the door by 930am to head to the airport. We rode with my mom and enjoyed one last conversation before we parted ways. It always makes me especially sad leaving home again because I give my mom a hug and kiss goodbye and she cries every time. Even though I will be seeing her again in a month it still doesn’t make it any easier seeing your mom cry!

We got through security and to our gate in no time at all and I had enough time to sit down and write one of my catch up stories about our adventures on Saturday night. We got on the plane and we were both so exhausted we passed out for the majority of the flight. I woke up with a little under an hour left to go and was able to type up my story about Sunday on my phone to get ready to publish when I got home and got some cell service. We landed and by the time we got to baggage claim we waited for less than a minute and we both got our bags. It was very fast and easy pickup. Unfortunately we had to park at the airport garage as we normally park in the shuttle lots but they were closed. The total came out to $127! I couldn’t believe it. I knew it would be high but not that high. Next month when we go home I think we will be taking an Uber instead!

We started on our drive home and we were going to stop in downtown Denver to pickup Champ from my friend who was watching him. We parked and got out and we saw him come out of the apartment and he ran over to us as he was so happy to see us. He lied down in the middle of the sidewalk to get his belly rubs in. He was happy crying as we were petting him and he couldn’t wait to get home. We put him in the car and we were on our way home finally.

After I dropped off Steph, Champ and I headed home to unpack and get ourselves situated for the rest of the day. I got home about 3:40pm and had to be at the gym by 4:30pm for a personal training session. It didn’t give me much time to unpack and switch gears into work mode again but I made it work and got to my session on time and even got a quick lunch in. We worked the session and then I had training right after. I was exhausted but it felt good to be back on the mats with my teammates again. We had a great practice and even though I was tired and it wasn’t my best day it felt so good afterwards. Right after practice we had to clear all the equipment out from the gym and into the storage unit as today was the last day we were allowed to be in the gym. The guys helped us load up their trucks and my car and we headed over to the storage unit. We got there about 8:10pm and had to be out before 9:00pm or else we would be locked in. We got the job again and there’s not much space left in the unit for equipment. Guess that just means we need to get into our new space asap! We have some calls to make tomorrow and hopeful for some answers back as well. We will see what happens with that and we can’t wait to get started.

After all that work I went to the store to get some groceries so I can cook tomorrow and have some food to eat. I’ve spent the evening relaxing with Champ and catching up on all the emails I missed over the weekend. Plenty to go through but I have some extra time this week for them. It’s finally time to get some sleep after I finish writing this. Lots more work to do tomorrow and hopefully going to hear some good news soon.

Until tomorrow,
