BJJ Strength Training and Soccer Program Done!
As I was getting breakfast made and thinking ahead about my day I realized I forgot my shin guards I needed for my training session a little later were at our gym. The session was taking place at a friend’s gym and so I had to pack myself up and head over to the gym to pick up the shin guards and head back to his gym to get ready for the session. I had a reminder set not to forget them at the gym when I left on Monday night but shockingly that didn’t work lol.
Anyway, got to my friend’s gym and got a 6 minute airdyne bike cardio round in. Working to get back in shape again as there may be an opportunity to compete in a tournament coming up in the next month or so. I am in decent shape but want to make sure I am fully prepared if that time and opportunity comes up. I finished the round and then we started the training session. It felt good to get some good work in. I threw on my shin guards for a few rounds and threw some kicks at my partner to work on his reactions and defense. That’s always a fun component to add in to training.
Right after the session ended I took off and I had to stop at Men’s Wearhouse. My suit for the wedding was already done so I went there to try it on and make sure it fit, and it fit very well! I was happy it fit and can’t wait to wear it for our big day. The other thing I got was a gold tie bar. It is my first one and I have never used them before but Steph and I think it will look really good so i wanted to grab that while I was there as well.
I left there and went straight home to drop the suit off and quickly pick up Champ to head over to our gym. I had a call at 330 with Uplaunch to get our website build started. We wanted to make sure we were on the same page and didn’t have any unanswered questions before the build started. The call went very well and I am happy with their work and responsiveness. So we ended the call and I gave them permission to start the website. Everything is in working order and ready to go. I can’t wait for it to be done.
Right after I worked to put together the training program for the BJJ guys coming in later. We were going to train upper body so I wanted to focus on back, chest, and shoulders. So I put together a warm up, stability exercises, and 3 circuits of 3 exercises each, and then finishing with some core work. I was very happy with how it turned out and the guys got a workout, enjoyed it, and didn’t get hurt. I was happy because one of the guys texted me afterwards and just said thank you for putting it together and that he got a lot of the workout and was looking forward to the next one. Gotta love hearing that as a coach!
After the training session ended Champ and I headed back home to get some work done. I am a night owl and it was time to really focus and get to business. I worked on getting the videos into my funnel for the Soccer Speed Training System. I uploaded the Soccer Speed Training Secrets course I filmed and a couple other ones and now the whole thing is up and running. I hope to reach as many soccer athletes as I can to help give them the competitive edge over their opponents. It’s a big step for us and hopefully we can get our message out there as quickly as possible.
After I finished that which took a couple hours because I had to do the Facebook portion of it as well. I then created a YouTube channel for our gym to get our BJJ instructional videos uploaded there so they can be put up on the membership site as soon as it is ready. By that time it was 330am so it was time for me to get to bed.
Thanks for reading!
Until tomorrow,
