Friday started off early as I had to take a shower and put on jeans and a polo, which is very unusual for me as I spend most days now in workout gear. I had to dress nicer because we were going straight from the airport to the rehearsal for the wedding as I was a groomsman.

I got ready and took Champ outside as I got him ready to drop off at my friend’s house to watch him for the weekend. I grabbed my suitcase, backpack, and his food to load everything up in the car and get on our way. The poor guy hates the car so he spent the whole 20 minute car ride panting and just waiting to get out. We got there and he instantly recognized her and sprinted over to say hi. She was all ready for him and even bought him 4 tennis balls to play with for the weekend. I knew he was going to be happy and spoiled all weekend long. She told me she had all the ingredients to make him homemade treats lol.

After I dropped him off I went over to Steph’s to pick her up and head to the airport. We were on time and excited to get on the plane as we were looking forward to celebrating. We got to the airport and made it through security with no problems.

Once we were at the gate I started getting things ready on my computer to design my new program. I have been working with a soccer athlete and got to know what her and other soccer players really need help with and what to improve on. So that plus my background in soccer and speed and strength development is what inspired me to design a comprehensive speed, agility, and strength program together specifically for soccer players.

Once we got on the plane I popped open my laptop and got to work. Since I already had the templates set up adjusting the exercises and workouts was pretty easy. I got a great start on the program and am hoping to have the rest done within a week. I will make sure to keep everyone posted on the progress being made!

Once we landed we headed straight to baggage claim to get our bags. My mom was meeting us at the airport to pick us up and take us straight to the park for the rehearsal and dinner following. We were less than 10 minutes late, which all things considered, was pretty good for having to go straight from the airport over there. The rehearsal went quickly as the whole ceremony was pretty short. One of my good friends was performing the ceremony and it was his first time doing it. That was part of the reason the whole ceremony was less than 10 minutes long. Because of that we were able to get two practice runs in before the big day. We couldn’t do it at thr actual venue because they had another event going on so we did it at a local park instead.

Once all the questions were answered we got in the cars and headed on our way over to the restaurant where dinner was going to be. It was a local place called Rudy’s and we had the whole back room reserved. We all got drinks and sat down. We had chosen our food beforehand and it got brought out to us pretty quickly. We got chicken and veal parmesan which were both delicious.

Then he gave us our gifts for being groomsman which were coolers with our names on them and they are really nice. Great design on them and small enough to carry around what we’d need for a day! Really cool gift idea. In addition to those we got cuff links with our initials in them for our dress shirts. The last piece we got and probably the mos exciting were The Nightmare Before Christmas socks lol. The bride and groom loved them and asked if we would like to wear them for the wedding and we of course said yes. So, that was the third thing we got.

After everyone was done eating they gave a nice toast to thank everyone for their hard work and for being there. After the toast everyone got ready to leave and we packed up and headed back home.

Once we got home we just relaxed for a little bit and hung out while my mom pressed my suit and shirt as they got a little wrinkled being in the suitcase on the way home. It didn’t take long and they looked amazing afterwards.

From there we got ready for bed as we knew we had a long and busy day ahead of us.

Thanks for reading!

Until tomorrow,
