Took Engagement Pictures on Sunday!
Sunday started off with us waking up and getting ready to go over and take our engagement photos!
We took Champ with us as well of course lol. He is our son and wanted to have him in some of the pictures with us. We were supposed to go to the Highlands Ranch Mansion for the photos but on the way there the photographer let us know that there was a wedding going on at the same time and that they no longer allowed us on the premises.
So we had to adjust on the fly and find a new location. Luckily the photographer suggested Daniel’s Park which had a view of the mountains and it was a beautiful spot for pictures. We got there and it was very windy which made it pretty cold but that was okay. We were very happy with the pictures, location, and getting Champ involved as well. He was just so excited to be outside and exploring a little bit. We took a ton of different ones at different spots at the overlook. We spent about 45 minutes there which was really short compared to what I thought it might be. By the time we got back to the car my hands had about lost all feeling from the wind.
It was a really good time though. We decided to get some breakfast from Urban Egg on the way home. I called and placed a to go order and we swung by on the way home to pick it up. We got back and ate way too much and way too fast. After that I started watching the Panthers game agains the Chiefs. It was very entertaining game and I was really into it of course. Meanwhile Steph and Champ were taking a nap on the couch.
After a little while we had to wake up and go to a friend’s house. We got ready and headed over there. When we got there we were surprised as they threw together a bridal shower for Steph! It was very nice of them to do so and we spent the next few hours playing games and celebrating. It was a lot of fun and we are thankful for having such great friends in our lives.
We went back home to relax for the rest of the night. It was a long day and we were spent by the end of it. We got ready for bed and I was going to lay down with her for a little bit while she fell asleep and then get some work done afterwards but I was so tired and comfortable that I passed right out for the rest of the night. Perfect way to end the day with her!
